The picture was taken 2,5 years ago in Vientiane, Laos. Excuse the quality, but be aware that I could have posted way yuckier pictures!

    But I’m curious by snake. I’m scared by them, but eaten them should be an experience.

  3. We are not worthy!! But quite amused that one of the measly 58 or so things I have eaten is crocodile, which is not on your list ;-)

  4. I got 63 on the omnivores 100 which is pretty good considering I have never been to the US (root beer float was a mystery to me!). I wrote a British hundred afterwards and I scored a much more respectable 88…

  7. I’m enjoying catching up on your blog.

    Poutine, in case no one else has informed you, is from Canada, specifically Québec. It’s french fries, i.e. chips, with fresh cheese curd and covered with a thin gravy usually made from chicken or beef broth. It’s so popular in Québec it can be found on the menu at McDonalds. It’s also called heart attack on a plate.

    I still think fondly of the wine tasting we enjoyed with you in February!

    • Hey, so good to hear from you! Yes, after I encountered it on this list, I researched poutin and I think it is the first thing I want to try when (if!) I go to Quebec – in the November (I think) issue of the New Yorker Magazine there was a huge article about it, which I enjoyed a lot and I definitely want to eat poutin!
